Delete your account

You can delete your Swapaya account and personal data at any time. There are two ways to do it, and here's exactly what happens to your data afterwards.

Delete from within the app

Open the Swapaya app, go to Settings and choose to close your account. This is the quickest way and removes your profile and Listings from the Platform.

Or ask us by email

If you can't access the app, email privacy@swapaya.com from the email address registered to your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity before we act on the request, and we'll respond within the time required by applicable law.

What is deleted, and what we keep

When you delete your account we remove your personal data from the Platform. As explained in our Privacy Policy, we may retain a limited amount of information for a period where it is reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, prevent or investigate fraud, resolve disputes, enforce our rights or maintain appropriate security records. Information that has been irreversibly anonymised may be kept for statistical purposes.
